This project focuses on designing a flexible and dynamic typographic system for a fictional visual identity of the Berliner Philharmoniker. The goal is to develop a consistent system that explores the relationship between variables and constants, translating the dynamism of music into a structured visual language.<\/p>\n

The starting point of this system is the pentagon shape, chosen for its significance in both the architecture of the Berliner Philharmonie and the orchestra’s existing logo. This shape serves as a bridge between stability and movement, reflecting the nature of orchestral music.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

1. The Process<\/h1>\n

The process was carefully documented on a Miro board, where every instance was tested, compared, and refined before making final design choices. Initial research played a crucial role in shaping the concept, ensuring that both theoretical and visual foundations were strong. 2. Colours<\/h1>\n

The colors used in the project are the same as those in the current visual identity of the Berliner Philharmoniker. 3. Fonts<\/h1>\n

4. The Pentagon<\/h1>\n

At the core of this system is the pentagon, a shape deeply connected to the Berliner Philharmoniker. It is present both in the architecture of the Philharmonie, designed by Hans Scharoun, and in the orchestra\u2019s existing logo. 5. Displacement Map<\/h1>\n

6. Distorsion<\/h1>\n

The displacement map is used to displace the text dynamically.
